About

Chromebook ValueCheck is run by a former K-12 Technology Director with 30 years of experience buying, deploying, and retiring Chromebook fleets for schools. The goal: help schools and families avoid buying devices that are about to stop getting updates.

Data & caveats

• Update dates come from Google's Auto Update policy page, parsed Oct 20, 2026; Google lists month/year only, so "years left" is computed from the first of that month.
• Dates marked * need the device to opt in to extended updates.
• No prices are shown: we have no legitimate price feed yet. Affiliate links (Amazon Associates, Back Market via Awin) are placeholders.
• Marketing names can map to several hardware variants; check the exact model number.
